Eric
Vetro is a voice teacher, vocal coach, pianist, songwriter and musical
director who has worked with a diverse group of performers from musical
legends such as Bette Midler, Chaka Khan and Meat Loaf to today’s HIGH
SCHOOL MUSICAL sensations Ashley Tisdale, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens
as well as Jason Derulo whose hit song WHATCHA SAY recently went to #1
on the Billboard Charts. He has also coached singing actors such
Hugh Jackman and Marissa Jaret Winokur for their TONY AWARD WINNING
roles on Broadway as well as the lead singers from the rock bands THE
GOO GOO DOLLS, WEEZER, THE DAN BAND, YELLOWCARD, THE SCORPIANS and
FILTER. For films he has
coached many actors including John C. Reilly for his OSCAR nominated
role in the musical film CHICAGO, Amanda Bynes and James Marsden
(HAIRSPRAY), Nolan Gerard Funk (SPECTACULAR – 2009 release), Ben
Stiller, Anna Kendrick and Jason Schwartzman (THE MARC PEASE
EXPERIENCE), Nia Vardalos (CONNIE AND CARLA), Elle Fanning (THE
NUTCRACKER) and Penelope Cruz (NINE). He has worked in
the studio with and for songwriter/producers such as Diane Warren,
Desmond Child, David Foster, Toby Gad, Andreas Carlson, Bryan Todd, Glen
Ballard, Jamie Houstan, Matthew Gerrard, Twin, Rob Cavallo and countless
others. He is currently coaching Sean Hayes (for PROMISES
PROMISES) and Kelsey Grammer (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES) for BROADWAY , Diane
Warren’s DUO VOCE project
(produced by Humberto Gatica), Tom Gossin from GLORIANA and the new
phenomenon Charice Pempengco whom Oprah introduced to the world whose
new single debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Dance chart.
Eric
conceived and co-produced the album “UNEXPECTED DREAMS” released by
RHINO RECORDS and also co-wrote two of the songs for it. All of
the singing actors who sang on the album (donating their royalties to
the charity MUSIC MATTERS) are clients of Mr. Vetro’s. That list
included Scarlett Johansson, Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Garner, John Stamos,
Lucy Lawless, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Taraji P. Henson, Eric McCormack and
Ewan McGregor.
Mr.
Vetro was featured on A&E’S THE STAR TREATMENT where his career as
a prominent voice teacher and vocal coach was profiled as well as ACCESS
HOLLYWOOD and ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. As a pianist he has accompanied on
piano singers such as Queen Latifah (singing her song from CHICAGO at
the pre-Golden Globe Vanity Fair party) and the Tony Award Winning
Kristin Chenoweth. He received his MASTERS degree at NEW YORK
UNIVERSITY and currently resides in Toluca Lake, California.
